CHINA FACTORY VISITS

Turn a factory visit into useful evidence.

A guided tour can create confidence without answering the questions behind a sourcing decision. Ensamico helps overseas buyers plan and conduct structured factory visits in China, with a clear mandate, evidence list and follow-up report.

CHINA FACTORY VISITS

On-the-ground support when you cannot rely on a sales presentation.

A factory visit can help clarify whether the location, people, equipment, workflow and current activity are consistent with what the supplier has represented. The value comes from agreeing the questions before the visit and documenting what was—and was not—observed.

We can coordinate a visit for your traveling team or attend on your behalf. The assignment is framed as commercial representation and structured observation unless a certified audit or specialist technical inspection is separately arranged.

SCOPE

What a factory visit can include

The agenda is tailored to the product, relationship stage and decision you need to make.

Visit coordination

Confirm the location, responsible contacts, meeting time, requested attendees, agenda and evidence permissions.

Facility observations

Observe the areas relevant to the agreed scope, such as production flow, equipment, storage, sample handling and quality checkpoints.

Supplier meeting

Discuss ownership, capabilities, lead times, subcontracting, order handling and the unresolved questions from your sourcing process.

Visit record

Provide permitted photographs, supplier answers, observations, contradictions and recommended follow-up in a structured summary.

PROCESS

How a factory visit is organized

Each step leaves the next decision clearer.

01

Set the mandate

You explain the product, supplier history, decision, concerns and evidence that would be useful.

02

Prepare the agenda

We agree questions, requested attendees, facility areas, documents, photo permissions and reporting format.

03

Visit and document

The representative follows the agreed route, holds the meeting and records observations without overstating what can be concluded.

04

Report and follow up

You receive a structured account of the visit, open questions and the next actions for supplier, buyer or specialist.

PREPARATION

Examples of visit questions

  • Is this the location and legal entity presented during the sourcing process?
  • Which production steps appear to be in-house and which are subcontracted?
  • Who is responsible for sales, engineering, production, quality and export documents?
  • How are materials, work in progress, finished goods and non-conforming items handled?
  • What evidence supports claimed capacity, lead time, certifications or current production?
GOOD FIT

When a factory visit is useful

  • You cannot travel to China but need on-site evidence before progressing
  • You will visit China and want a prepared agenda, local coordination and follow-up
  • The supplier's factory relationship or production claims remain unclear
  • A sample or quotation looks promising but the next commitment is material
  • Communication gaps are preventing a clear commercial decision
DELIVERY STANDARDS

How Ensamico keeps the assignment clear

The service scope changes, but these operating safeguards stay consistent.

Defined before work begins

Objective, responsibilities, deliverables, exclusions, fee basis and decision points are made visible.

Evidence stays traceable

Confirmed information, reasonable observations, contradictions and open questions are kept distinct.

Specialist limits stay explicit

Commercial coordination is not overstated as legal, technical, employment, inspection or regulatory advice.

FAQ

Factory visit questions

Clear answers before you define the assignment.

Can Ensamico visit a factory on our behalf?

Yes, when the factory agrees to the visit and the mandate can be completed safely and lawfully. We agree the questions, evidence priorities and reporting format with you beforehand.

Is this the same as a factory audit?

No. A standard Ensamico visit is commercial representation and structured observation. If you need a certified quality-system, social-compliance or technical audit, that should be separately scoped with a qualified audit provider.

Will the report include photographs?

Where the supplier permits photography, the report can include images relevant to the agreed scope. Restrictions and areas that could not be observed are documented.

Can you discuss our product requirements during the visit?

Yes, provided you supply a clear brief and identify which points the representative is authorized to discuss or decide. Specialist engineering decisions remain with your qualified team.
